Black West - (2011) Lonely Crowd

Black West is a new band out of Barcelona, Spain and they crank out some top notch heavy rockin', smoke your blues away metal. I've been keeping the debut album "Lonely Crowd" on heavy rotation since I acquired the tunes from Bandcamp. After searching the web, there's really no other source of info on these guys. Another mysterious band that lets the music do the talking.

Taking a groove metal approach akin to bands like Pantera and mashing it up with dirty southern rock vibe similar to Corrosion of Conformity. With vocals that go from clean, to a pissed off gravely bark. Production is crisp, clear and in your face, like any good metal album should be. Plenty of double-bass drumming and memorable riffs, that will stay in your head long after the last track fades. Black West has achieved an enjoyable listen for any metal-head worth his/her weight in salt. Dig it.     ~Adam W
