Taking a groove
metal approach akin to bands like Pantera and mashing it up with dirty southern
rock vibe similar to Corrosion of Conformity. With vocals that go from clean,
to a pissed off gravely bark. Production is crisp, clear and in your face, like
any good metal album should be. Plenty of double-bass drumming and memorable
riffs, that will stay in your head long after the last track fades. Black West
has achieved an enjoyable listen for any metal-head worth his/her
weight in salt. Dig it. ~Adam W
